use them to do all kinds of fancy stuff. 


One of
the most special things about right triangles 


has to do
with the length of the sides. 





Remember
that the side across from the 90 degree angle 


is called
the hypotenuse. 











Take the
length of one side and multiply it times itself. 


Tale the
length of the other side and multiply it times itself. 


ADD the
two together. 


The
result is equal to the hypotenuse multiplied times itself.
