What's The Point
Definition of a Point

Geometry is the study of lines and shapes and angles

 and stuff like that.
The simplest one of these is called the point.

A point is just a very tiny dot.
A real point is so tiny, that it has no size at all.
It is just a place in space.

We can't draw something with no size,
so we draw a small dot.
But remember that re really mean a point that is soooo tiny
that no one could ever see it.
Sometimes we have a bunch of points all at the same time.

How can we tell these points apart?

Well, if this was a basketball team we could give them all numbers.
But this is math, not sports.
Math people like to name things with letters.
So we get something like this:

And we talk about stuff like "
How far is it from point A to point B"
